British Blue Ensign Flag

The British blue ensign flag is used by vessels associated with the United Kingdom. It features the Union Flag in the canton (upper hoist side) on a blue field. The blue ensign is primarily used by British merchant ships and certain government entities. It is also commonly used by Royal Research Ships, selected British registered yachts, and specific British merchant vessels with connections to the Royal Navy. The blue ensign is often defaced with emblems or badges representing various organizations

Our team sews the different coloured fabrics together to create the flag design. Where intricate badges on the flag are required, a printed badge is sewn to the flag. This flag provides the most traditional look and feel.
• Printed: These flags are digitally printed onto 115gsm knitted polyester material.
• Eco-friendly: These flags are digitally printed onto 115gsm recycled knitted polyester material.
• Novelty: These flags are printed onto lightweight polyester material and are manufactured as decorative flags only and should not be flown on a flagpole.

Every British blue ensign flag comes hemmed and finished to your requirements, ready to fly or hang.

We can add antifray netting to the fly edge of your flag. This can prolong the life of your flag as it is a sacrificial piece of material that is applied and will be the first part of the flag to fray. Once you notice this fray, you can take your flag down and send it back to us to have the antifray removed and replaced. This is much cheaper than purchasing a whole new flag.
