Charity

HFC are passionate about supporting those less fortunate than ourselves, both locally and nationally.

We commit to providing all registered charities with a 15% discount on all our non-net products. We work with 100’s of charities each year helping them to get their messages out to the community and raise money. If you are a registered charity and require help then please contact us at info@hampshireflag.co.uk.

At HFC, we also have two official charities that we have supported for over ten years now, with fundraising and providing any printed items they require. Rowans Hospice and Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance are two fantastic charities that are very dear to us. We have first-hand knowledge of the care and support they provide for some of our own team’s family and loved ones.
It is well worth visiting each of their sites below to see their fantastic work.

Rowans Hospice

Rowans Hospice provide palliative and end of life care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in the Southeast of Hampshire. Their highly trained hospice carers help to improve quality of life for the patient by easing physical symptoms as well as offering psychological, spiritual and social support to both patients and their loved ones.

Their dedicated hospice care is available round the clock either in house or at home, as well as offering services for day visitors in the Living Well Centre. Wellbeing events and classes are available to carers, patients and the bereaved with no referral required.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is the independent Charity that brings an advanced Critical Care Team to the most seriously ill and injured patients in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, giving them the best chance of survival and recovery, when the worst happens.

Using both a helicopter and three emergency response vehicles, the Charity brings a team of highly skilled pre-hospital emergency medicine doctors and specialist paramedics to the scene of an incident, effectively bringing the hospital to the patient when time is critical. Called out to an average of six incidents every day, including cardiac arrests, road traffic collisions, falls and assaults, the life-saving service is operational 365 days a year, both day and night.

It currently costs £15,000 a day to maintain the life-saving service, and it is only thanks to the generosity of the communities that they serve that they are able keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.

Aquaid

Here, at HFC, we are aware that keeping our team hydrated will aid them to perform at their very best throughout the work day.

As a result, we decided to invest in a waterpump from AquAid.

Our unique relationship with AquAid has also given our company the opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves, because with each purchase an automatic donation is made to The Africa Trust.

These funds are used to build ‘Elephant Pumps’ – a modified version of an age old Chinese rope pulley system. One such pump is currently being installed in Africa on our behalf and it will be a much needed source of clean and fresh drinking water for many.
Our organization’s name will be proudly displayed on our well and we look forward to adding a photo and a letter of thanks from the villagers to our site in the near future.

To date AquAid have built over 8,000 such Elephant Pumps across parts of Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe; and have donated in excess of £20 million to charity.
