What Size flag do i need? – HFC can help.
If your wondering what size flag you need for your ground mounted flagpole or wall mounted flagpole, we can help.
The Rule:
As a rule, use one yard of flag for every 3m (10 feet) of flagpole.
For Example a 6m pole (20 feet) would require a 2 yard flag.
This ensures the flag looks proportionate and the wind load on the flag is safe.
Recommended size for ground mounted flagpoles

Top Tips:
For older poles or high-wind locations, size down 1 flag
if flying multiple flags on the same pole; size down 1 flag

Top Tips:
For older poles or high-wind locations, size down 1 flag
Wall mounted poles are typically lower load baring, so we recomend smaller flags. You can fly large flags at your own risk.
Consider a 45-degree angle for wall mounted poles to allow the flag to hang straight down.
